Filming in the V&A
The V&A Waterfront is private property and the right to issue permits to media for filming on the premises during the World Cup 2010 has been reserved.
Input Media has been licensed to issue permits during the World Cup, and the Waterfront Media & Legacy Centre has partnered with Input Media to assist with the permit issuance process.
The application process for filming-to-tape is simple:
- Please register at the Waterfront Media & Legacy centre. A registration form is attached and registration is free. World Media Legacy Centre Registration Form

- Completed forms should be faxed to 086 695 4250
- Credit Card payment details form
- Broadcast Rate Card
- Permit fees are R1500 per day or R3500 for three days and all permits must be paid before filming.
- Payment can be made on site at the Media Centre (cash/credit card) or by internet transfer. Banking details available on receipt of application.
- We can issue permits on receipt of all completed paperwork (including proof of payment) – ie no waiting time.
- Our offices are open for collection of permits from 0700 – 2200hrs.
- Permits are issued in the form of a clearly marked sticker.
- This sticker must be collected from the Media & Legacy Centre before filming and clearly displayed by attachment to your equipment throughout your time on site.

Directions:
- From M6 turn right into Portswood Road
- After you have passed the Breakwater Lodge and the Commodore Hotels, turn right into Portswood Square.
- Immediately on the left there is a lane (past the Everard Read Gallery)
- Take this lane and it will bring you to the parking area behind Portswood House.
